You may want to consider selecting partners for the students. Consider learning disabilities, race, gender and other diversity issues that exist in the classroom. One way to address this is using heterogeneous grouping.
There are many different ways to deliver the play, The Crucible, to the students. Different reading styles may be interesting. For example, reading aloud in the classroom with different parts as though it was a play being acted out. Another way is to have the students read some acts before class to be prepared for discussion. When it is read in its entirety, then the webquest can begin.
