This Challenge will allow you to compare what you thought you knew about volcanoes to what you learned.

1.  Read sections 7.1 and 7.2 in your textbook.

2.  Respond to each statement on the Anticipation/Reacion Guide again in the Reaction column.

3.  Compare both columns.  Did you change your mind about any of the statements?

4.  Write a brief explanation for each statement on which you changed after reading about volcanoes.

5.  Turn the Guide and your explanations in to me.

6.  You are now ready for Challenge 3.
