You will write a creative paper from the perspective of your identity.  It can be in the format of an extended journal, a letter to the editor of a newspaper or politician, a personal letter to family members, or even to one of the people in the novel / articles that you read. The paper should document personal daily activities as well as general concerns you faced in the War.  It must be a minimum of two pages long.

Before you present your journal to the tour guide, make sure you have included all the activities from the checklist.  You can download it here.

Add pictures, drawings of scenes in the novel, fake photographs, and other imaginative additions.  You can organize the booklet according to perspective or other connections that you find.  You may also include some of your favorite passages from Cold Mountain and excerpts from the articles.
